The was the very first Land Rover I ever drove. Make : Land Rover 109" Long Wheel Base Series 3 Year : 1981 Engine : 2.25 5 bearing cranked diesel. Gear Box : 4 Speed manual with Fairey Over Drive. I acquired this when I passed my driving test as farther had a company car and it was just gathering rust. |

Back in 1990 it was dismantled and rebuild with a new chassis and recondition gearbox.
The whole body was lifted off rather than take it to bits. |
| Looking at this photo the chassis looks ok but the near side had very large holes over the wheel arch and the last quarter had almost completely rotted away. |

When the vehicle was rebuilt I used it to attend Yorkshire Rover Owners Club events and green lane. |
