The was the very first Land Rover I ever drove.
Make : Land Rover 109" Long Wheel Base Series 3
Year : 1981
Engine : 2.25 5 bearing cranked diesel.
Gear Box : 4 Speed manual with Fairey Over Drive.
I acquired this when I passed my driving test as farther had
a company car and it was just gathering rust.

Back in 1990 it was dismantled and rebuild with a new chassis and recondition gearbox.
The whole body was lifted off rather than take it to bits. |

Looking at this photo the chassis looks ok but the near side had very large holes over the wheel arch and the last quarter had almost completely rotted away.

When the vehicle was rebuilt I used it to attend Yorkshire Rover Owners Club events and green lane. |
